MIAMI — Earlier this week at George M. Steinbrenner Field, Alex Rodriguez and Chase Headley walked and talked, carrying a conversation from the home dugout onto the field.
“You’re going to have a great year,” the Yankees’ former third baseman told the Yankees’ current third baseman.
“I’m a big, big Chase Headley fan,” A-Rod reiterated Friday, before the Yankees topped the Marlins, 3-2 at Marlins Park. “I think that what I admire most about him, he’s always interested in getting better. He’s always asking questions. He’s always getting in early, staying late, studying film. For me, this year, he just looks very comfortable.
