A-Rod's cousin Yuri Sucart sentenced to 7 months in prison

As Alex Rodriguez's longtime driver and personal assistant, Yuri Sucart had a front-row seat to the steroid-stained slugger's performance-enhancing drug use and postgame escapades for 20 years.

Sucart will have plenty of time to think about his wild ride with his famous cousin: A federal judge in Miami sentenced him to seven months in prison Thursday for Sucart's role in the Biogenesis scandal that led to the Yankee star's season-long suspension in 2014.

U.S. District Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga ordered Sucart, who faced up to a decade in prison, to surrender to authorities Friday.

"When we started off he was facing a great deal of prison time, and this was in the range in the plea agreement we worked out with prosecutors," Sucart's attorney Edward O'Donnell IV said.
