NEW YORK -- Alex Rodriguez extended his Major League record with his 25th career grand slam on Tuesday, crushing a deep drive in the seventh inning off reliever J.R. Graham that gave the Yankees a 5-4 lead over the Twins.
Rodriguez's blast, his 25th homer of the season, snapped a 1-for-27 skid for the slugger, who had gone 72 at-bats without a homer. The timely shot came with Chase Headley, Brendan Ryan and Brett Gardner aboard, and landed in the Yankees' bullpen in right-center field.
