Alex Rodriguez has returned from his one-year suspension and is back to playing for the New York Yankees, but his legal situation has not yet been fully resolved.
According to the NY Daily News, Rodriguez is expected in court for a deposition on April 24 after he was served two documents related to his alleged refusal to pay $380,059 in legal fees. One of the firms that counseled A-Rod when he was fighting his suspension in 2013 claims the slugger has not squared up.
One of the legal issues deals with a woman named Desiree Perez, who is an influential figure at Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports agency.
