Four months ago Garrett Jones arrived at Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn., with a small team of former Navy SEALs.
Their mission was to teach a group of high school baseball players the value of team-building and perseverance.
Jones, a first baseman and right fielder for the Yankees, was there with Stonewall Solutions, a company that travels to high schools and colleges across the country to give training programs to athletic teams, said Jason Kuhn, the company’s president and a former Navy SEAL.
Jones, Kuhn said, showed no sense of entitlement with his status as a professional athlete.
