A look at Marilyn Monroe's failed marriages

Hollywood beauty Marilyn Monroe had countless lovers — but none of them stuck around long.

Monroe was divorced three times before dying of an overdose at age 36 in 1962.

Shortly after the moniker became her real name, a young Norma Jean Baker married her neighbor James Dougherty at the tender age of 16.

After they split, she became Yankees legend Joe DiMaggio's blushing bride on Jan. 14, 1954 — 62 years ago today.

Monroe went on to wed playwright Arthur Miller 8 years after calling it quits with DiMaggio, who she became close friends with once again after separating from Miller.
