2017 Yankees Season Review: Chasen Shreve

Related Topics: Chasen Shreve

Chasen Shreve came over to the Yankees prior to the 2015 season in a deal that saw former prospect Manny Banuelos go to Atlanta. From the time of his arrival he has looked like a decent left-handed option out of the bullpen and 2017 was a reflection of exactly that.

Shreve appeared in 44 games, logging 45.1 innings pitched. The southpaw posted a 3.77 ERA and struck out 58 batters. The fact that he struck out more than a batter per inning came as a bit of surprise to me, but he actually accomplished the same feat in 2015.
