2016 MLB Home Run Derby: Marlins' Giancarlo Stanton beats N.J.'s Todd Frazier

SAN DIEGO — The Jersey boy has been dethroned.

Toms River Little League star Todd Frazier wasn't able to repeat as champion, falling to Giancarlo Stanton in Monday night's Home Run Derby at Petco Park.

In the final round, Stanton, the fifth-seeded Marlins' mammoth, overpowered the White Sox's second-seeded Frazier, 20-13. Seedings were based on 2016 home run totals through July 6.

Frazier won the 2015 crown and finished No. 2 in 2014. Stanton only competed in one other derby, hitting just six bombs in 2014 at Target Field.

Stanton put on an incredible show that started in the first round and continued.
