Welcome.
The 87th Major League Baseball All-Star Game begins Tuesday night at Petco Park in San Diego, baseball's best coming together for night to determine which league will have home field advantage in the World Series. (See here for everything you missed from the home run derby.)
Dating back to 2006, the American League has won seven of the last 10 Midsummer Classics. Tuesday will be the third time San Diego has ever hosted the All-Star Game and first since 1992 (first at Petco). Starting the game on the mound for the AL will be Chicago White Sox lefty Chris Sale; starting for the NL will be San Francisco Giants righty Johnny Cueto.
