There are two reasons the Yankees will be closely following Thursday's game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park in Boston, Mass.
First, left-hander J.A. Happ is on the mound for Toronto. He has been mentioned in several rumors before the July 31st non-waiver trade deadline.
At one time, Happ was said to be atop general manager Brian Cashman's wish list for starting pitchers.
Happ is 10-5 with a 4.44 ERA in 18 starts this season and will represent the Blue Jays at the 2018 MLB All-Star Game.
