TAMPA — The Yankees will begin spring training this week with a lot of things going for them.
Most everyone is back from a still-young ballpark that finished 2017 one win away from getting to the World Series, and now they have Giancarlo Stanton, last year’s National League MVP, in their lineup.
They do have questions ... some big ones. For instance, they potentially could go into the season with rookies starting at second base and third base, rookies who have one combined big-league start on their resumes.
There definitely will be a lot to watch in Yankees camp, and things could drastically change if GM Brian Cashman adds a big piece or two by signing one of the unsigned free agents and/or swinging a trade.
