Yankees general manager Brian Cashman broke his silence — sort of — on Manny Machado's lack of hustle.
Cashman said he considers hustling a "prerequisite" when asked generally if it was important to him while on The Michael Kay Show on ESPN New York Radio on Thursday.
During the playoffs, Machado told The Athletic that he was never going to be "Johnny Hustle" and that it wasn't his "cup of tea." He proceeded to loaf several times and even perform a borderline dirty play in the postseason.
