The MLB trade deadline of August 1st is rapidly approaching, and the trade rumors around the New York Yankees are starting to heat up. The Yankees are 48-46, but a few games back of a Wild Card berth. The Yankees should be sellers at the deadline, although the front office hasn't made that decision yet. With that in mind, here all the latest Yankees trade rumors you need to know.
Michael Pineda Drawing Interest?
Several Yankees pitchers (we'll get to the rest below) are drawing interest, including Michael Pineda.
Reps from Cubs, Astros among "a ton" of scouts in the Bronx tonight to see the Yankees. Michael Pineda pitched for NYY.

Luckily for the Yankees, Pineda was sharp in his six scoreless innings. He has 4-9 record with a 5.25 ERA this year, but still has the stuff teams want. What he'll fetch in a trade is unclear, but he is controllable for next year as well.
Yankees Shopping Chapman?
With the Yankees on the outside looking in of the playoff picture, they should become sellers as the trade deadline approaches. That makes soon-to-be free agent Aroldis Chapman the most likely trade chip.
Rival execs: NYY going full bore in shaping possible deals w/Chapman, etc.; started weeks ago, as reported. Nats, TEX, CLE, others involved.

Ken Rosenthal reports Chapman is the Nationals' top target, while the Indians prefer Andrew Miller. The Yankees should be able to get more for Chapman than they gave up to get him from the Reds.
Potential Rangers-Yankees Deal?
The Rangers are clear-cut buyers at the deadline, with pitching at the top of their wish list. According to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News, they're checking out Yankees' pitchers.
As the Yankees inch closer to selling, the Rangers are looking at Ivan Nova, Nathan Eovaldi and even CC Sabathia. Perhaps the Yankees would be willing to go to the second tier of prospects to get a deal done. And, yes, the Rangers are watching reliever Andrew Miller, as well.
Nova, Eovaldi and Sabathia would be much cheaper in terms of the prospects needed to get. Miller will be very expensive, as the Yankees don't really want to move him amid plenty of interest. If the Yankees can deal the aging Sabathia, even for a lower-tier prospect, that might be their best move for the future of the team.
