Former New York Yankees outfielder Bernie Williams hasn't played in the MLB since 2006, but he's not officially hanging up the glove until Friday.
Williams plans to sign his retirement papers prior to the Mets/Yankees game at Yankee Stadium, and the Yankees also plan to retire his #51 later this season and be honored with a plaque in Monument Park
Williams spent his entire 16-year MLB career with the Yankees and hit 287 homers and recorded 1,257 RBIs in his career while batting .297.
