The New York Yankees are unsure what to do with Alex Rodriguez this season, and manager Joe Girardi said he wants to see where A-Rod's at physically before deciding where to play him.
“I think it’s only fair to see where he’s at physically,” Girardi said. “We have to take our time and not make an evaluation too early in spring training, because he hasn’t played a lot in the last year-and-a-half.”
Girardi plans to used Rodriguez as the designated hitter and backup third baseman originally, but has also thrown around the idea of him playing first base.
