The New York Yankees have signed starting pitcher Kyle Davies to a minor-league contract, according to NJ Advance Media.
Davies hasn't pitched in the majors since 2011, and New York is hoping he'll pitch well enough to start the season at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and provide some emergency rotation depth.
The 31-year-old has made 38 minor league starts over the last two years after posting a 43-65 record with a 5.59 ERA in seven major league seasons.
