Despite rumors that the New York Yankees have "cooled" on the prospects of re-signing third baseman Chase Headley, it appears that's likely not the case.
According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, the New York Yankees remain interested in bringing Headley back into the fold in the Bronx:
Hearing #Yankees remain strong on Headley, as mentioned earlier by @JonHeymanCBS.

As Bill Baer of NBC's Hardball Talk points out, "with Hanley Ramirez off the market, Headley is the top free agent at the hot corner and is expected to receive a four-year deal when all is said and done. Along with the Yankees, the Giants and Marlins have also shown interest in Headley’s services."
The 30-year-old Headley struggled mightily with the San Diego Padres in 2014, but mostly returned to form after being traded to the Yankees in late July. Headley hit .262/.371/.398 with six home runs and 17 RBIs in 224 plate appearances with New York. Add in Headley's solid glove work, and the Yankees could very well be willing to sign off on giving Headley four years at a decent yearly rate.
