The New York Yankees have agreed to terms with right-handed pitcher Scott Baker on a minor league contract, per Matt Eddy of Baseball America:
#Yankees become latest team to try to reclaim value from veteran RHP Scott Baker, signing him to minor league deal, like #Rangers last year.

If the longtime Minnesota Twins starter makes the team out of Spring Training, he'll be due $1.5 million in 2015, per CBS Sports' Jon Heyman:

Baker had the season of his career in 2011 despite pitching just 134.2 innings, posting a 3.14 ERA with 8.2 K/9 and only 2.1 BB/9. However, Baker would be forced to undergo Tommy John surgery during Spring Training of the next season, and hasn't rounded back into form since. The Texas Rangers were the latest to give Baker a crack back in 2014, but it ultimately never panned out.
With the injury problems that the Yankees have had in their starting rotation, Baker could very well get a crack at some point in 2015 if not right out of Spring Training.
