New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith just wanted to take in a New York Yankees game on Sunday. What he got during the team's 6-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels was a good old-fashioned round of boos.
Earlier in the game, Smith was shown on the Yankees jumbotron, accompanied with the Paul McCartney and Wings song “Jet” — he was met with a smattering of boos.
“I didn’t hear any of that reaction,” Smith said. “I didn’t hear any of that.”
Smith is coming off a turbulent 2014 campaign which saw him cycled in and out of the starting job during the team's frustrating 4-12 run.
