New York Yankees Rumors: "No timetable" on Andrew Bailey return from injury

In what would have set the world of New York Yankees rumors on fire just a couple of years ago, the New York Yankees signed formed Athletics and Red Sox closer Andrew Bailey to a minor-league deal with major league incentives.

Bailey is coming off of surgery in July to repair a torn labrum and a torn capsule. The new New York Yankees closer is aware of the meticulous process which is required to return from such a devastating injury, and he doesn't seem interested in rushing his New York Yankees debut and risking further damage--

"There's really no timetable for this kind of thing," stated Bailey. "The prototypical response is that it's a 12-month rehab and I'm seven months in, so you can take that and run with it."

The New York Yankees' newest acquisition added, "We’re just going to take it easy and focus on getting back out there at the right time."

Adding in the fact that New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman pegged August or September as the first potential dates for Andrew Bailey's return to a Major League Baseball mound, and it is becoming clear that the New York Yankees are looking to position Bailey as a potential late-season boost to what currently stands as a questionable bullpen depth-wise.
