Here is a breaking bit of New York Yankees rumors--it seems that controversial New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has dropped his lawsuit against Major League Baseball, the MLBPA, and Bud Selig.
Los Angeles Times reporter Bill Shaikin just broke the story via Twitter--"A-rod has dropped lawsuits against MLB, MLBPA, Selig, reports @jimbaumbach."
Shaikin is referencing Newsday's Jim Baumbach, who posted a picture of the filing on his Twitter, which you can see here.
The New York Yankees third baseman has originally filed the lawsuit after arbitrator Fredric Horowitz reduced his original 211-game suspension down to 162 games. A-Rod and his lawyers cited the fact that the MLBPA did not give him full and fair representation during the arbitration process.
His case against Major League Baseball and Bud Selig boiled down to he and his legal team's thoughts that both Selig and MLB conducted a "witch hunt" designed to use Alex Rodriguez as a scapegoat.
