Since his injury with his left hip about four months ago, Alex Rodriguez is back right on the field. He was with a group of other injured New York Yankees at the complex of their minor league. The 37-year-old baseman played catch and ran some distance on that day.
Rodriguez mentioned feeling like he is “an 8-year-old again” just like when he first held a baseball bat. He further expressed how excited he was and cannot wait to get back on the playing field.
His surgery happened last January 16 and deemed to come back to the New York Yankees right after the All-Star break. According to news, his torn labrum was repaired by an expert surgeon from New York. He added that it felt good to wear his uniform again and it took a lot of patience for him to go through rehab.
Rodriguez remained positive despite his condition that he even took the time to sign several autographs and take pictures with fans which counted to as big as 40 who waited for him at the parking lot. There were even fans in cars who stopped by near the driveway of the complex just to get their photo taken with the baseball star.
