In today's look into the world of Yankees news, the New York Yankees could get a needed lift late next week with the possible return of Carlos Beltran to the lineup.
According to Ken Davidoff of the New York Post, Beltran's injured elbow could be close to healed - making him a potential re-addition to the squad as soon as Thursday -
Carlos Beltran will spend the next 3 days in Tampa, Brian Cashman says. A return to the #Yankees' lineup as soon as Thursday is possible.

The prevailing fear surrounding Beltran was that he would need in-season surgery for the bone spur in his right elbow, potentially keeping him out anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks.
However, Beltran has been taking batting practice without pronounced discomfort - making a rehab assignment in Tampa the next logical step for the Yankees slugger.
If all goes well in Tampa, the Yankees could start to see dividends on the three-year, $45 million contract Beltran signed this winter as soon as this weekend.
