Yankees star RHP Masahiro Tanaka left the team in Cleveland today when he flew back to New York to have an MRI on his right arm, the New York Post is reporting.
Tanaka had his worst start of his MLB career last night, allowing 10 hits and five runs in the Yankees' 5-2 loss to the Indians. He made headlines this past week when he and Dellin Betances became the first Yankees rookie pitchers to make the All Star Game since 1947.
Leading the race for AL Rookie of the Year, Tanaka has an MLB-best 12 wins and a 2.51 ERA.
