The United States women’s national team closes out a pair of international friendlies against Switzerland on Sunday, October 23 in Minneapolis.
In the two teams’ meeting last Wednesday night, neither team had scored going into the half, but the substitution of new personnel and a shift of formation proved just what the USWNT needed to defeat the Swiss.
Lynn Williams, who subbed in for Lindsey Horan at the half, proved why she was the 2016 NWSL MVP and Golden Boot winner as she opened the scoring for the U.S. just 51 seconds into the second half.
