BETHLEHEM, Pa. (June 5, 2016) – New York Red Bulls II extended its unbeaten streak to five games with a win on the road against Bethlehem Steel FC, 1-0. Brandon Allen’s early goal was enough to improve Red Bulls II’s perfect road record to 5-0-0.
With the victory, NYRB II advances to 7-1-3 with 24 points in 11 games this season.
Red Bulls II scored the eventual game winner in the third minute. Gideon Baah, playing in his third USL game of the season, delivered a long ball from midfield towards Allen. The Homegrown Player collected the pass in the penalty area and buried it for his team-leading fourth goal of the season.
