The U.S. Women’s National Team escaped with a 1-1 result against Australia on Sunday night after Lindsey Horan scored the equalizer in the final minute of regulation off a Megan Rapinoe corner kick. The draw extends the USA’s current unbeaten streak to 18 games, going 15-0-3 in that span.
Although the USA had the possession and shot advantage in the first half - maintaining 64 percent of the possession and out-shooting Australia 9-5 - the Aussies found the back of the net first and took an early 1-0 lead.
The play began off a short corner kick attempt by Rapinoe that was cleared away by the Matildas.
