As chronicled by Wired868, Trinidad and Tobago Men's National Team head coach Stephen Hart had been battling a succession of issues that seemed to undermine his authority and point to a likely exit from his post. With a press release on Thursday, November 24, 2016, the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association put an end to the speculation: Hart is out.

The decision means that both the teams currently bottom of the CONCACAF Hexagonal (the region's final round of World Cup qualifying) - T&T and the USA - will resume their effort to make it to Russia 2018 with new head coaches.
