Sky Blue FC announced on Friday that they had signed rookie forward Imani Dorsey to a full professional roster. To make room for Dorsey to join the team on a permanent basis, the club waived second-year defender Kayla Mills.
Dorsey came to Sky Blue via the 2018 NWSL College Draft, where she was taken as the No. 5 overall pick. After missing the start of the season to finish her college education, she was signed to a National Team replacement contract during the most recent FIFA international break, making her debut in Sky Blue’s scoreless draw against the Washington Spirit on Friday, June 8.
