Sky Blue FC closes out 2016 at home against Portland

Sky Blue FC (7-7-5, 26 pts) will play its last match of the 2016 season on Sunday, September 25 against the Portland Thorns FC (11-3-5, 38 pts).

While Sky Blue FC has already been eliminated from the playoffs, the Thorns are currently sitting in second place and have already clinched a home playoff game.

However, the Thorns will be looking to upset the home team in attempts of winning the 2016 NWSL Shield. The easiest way to do that will be for Portland to defeat Sky Blue while hoping the current points leader, the Washington Spirit, do not win in Chicago.
