Tim Cahill has announced that he is leaving Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua after being told he is not in the club's plans.
Australia international Cahill, 36, joined Shenhua in February last year after leaving MLS side New York Red Bulls.
However, despite renewing his contract late last year, Shenhua coach Gregorio Manzano, who was appointed after the renewal, has told the former Everton attacking midfielder he is surplus to requirements.
