Reports: Octavio Zambrano set to be appointed head coach of Canada Men's National Team

The winningest coach in New York Red Bulls (or MetroStars, as they were at the time) history is set to return to the North American soccer scene, per a report from Sportsnet's John Molinaro that offers confirmation of a story attributed to Gazza Mercato: Octavio Zambrano will be the next head coach of the Canada Men's National Team.

Per Sportsnet, Zambrano will be formally announced as the Canada MNT head coach on Friday, March 17.

In a three-season stint at the helm of the MetroStars from 2000 to 2002, Zambrano saw the team win 52 out of 107 games played in all competitions under his guidance: the most games won by any head coach of the twice-named club that is now known as RBNY.
