When Kristian Dyer speaks, you listen. Writing for FC Yahoo, Dyer says that sources tell him Matt Miazga, the New York Red Bulls standout center back, has turned down a contract extension with the club.
Miazga is on the last year of his current contract as the team picked up an option for him in 2016. According to Dyer, the team is looking to secure a deal that would ensure the young United States player resides in New Jersey through the end of the upcoming season, even if he's transferred.
A departure now by Miazga would be a big blow to any hopes of success in 2016.
