In Wednesday night’s win against D.C. United, Bradley Wright-Phillips became the fastest player in MLS history to record 100 league goals. The feat, which broke the previous mark by 15 games, came as no surprise to Captain Luis Robles.
“I’ve had the pleasure of being his teammate for a bit of five years and he never seizes to amaze me,” Robles said. “And of course, a huge congratulation to him and his achievement. To me it’s no surprise that he’s the fastest guy in MLS history to do it, just because I’ve been able to see what he’s capable of week in and week out on the training pitch, on the game field.
