New York is ready for a fight.
When their Atlantic Cup rivals roll into town for Saturday’s night’s match, Head Coach Jesse Marsch knows the battle with D.C. United will be a physical one.
“What’s most important whenever we play D.C., is being up for what that game is about,” Marsch said. “If you show up, and you’re not ready for a fight – a brawl, a rivalry match – then you lose.”
Marsch said the team will continue to work on the normal soccer skills and challenges in training this week, but will also focus on the battle that’s coming.
