Red Bulls pull one out in the closing minutes

CARSON, Calif. — Alejandro Romero Gamarra scored a late goal and Bradley Wright-Phillips had two assists to help the Red Bulls beat the Los Angeles Galaxy 3-2 on Saturday night.

Gamarra converted from the spot to give the Red Bulls a 3-2 lead in the 84th minute after the Galaxy’s Dave Romney was called for a hand ball in the area.

Luis Robles had three acrobatic saves, including two diving stops and a leaping deflection, for the Red Bulls (4-3-0).

Daniel Royer put away a cross from Wright-Phillips to open the scoring in the seventh minute.
