Forward Armando Moreno hasn’t appeared for the Red Bulls yet, but he’s doing his part away from the field.
Moreno provided the Red Bulls with a mini scouting report for Club Tijuana, where he spent the past three seasons, ahead of the club’s CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals first leg Tuesday (10 p.m.; Univision) at Estadio Caliente in Tijuana, Mexico.
“They have a new coach and some new players so it’s a little bit different than when he was there, but we used him to talk about everything from what the turf in the stadium is like to what their players are like and how they play,” Red Bulls coach Jesse Marsch said.
