Earlier in the week, the New York Red Bulls knew they had a tough challenge ahead against Toronto, despite their record. The Red Bulls did not want to overlook TFC, despite the team dealing with some key injuries to their top players.
"I know Toronto has had a difficult stretch, but the talk all week was that we’re not going to be the team that they turn it around with so we did our best to neutralize them," Captain Luis Robles said.
Robles, had one of his best matches of the season, saving a season-high eight shot attempts, including a penalty kick by Toronto's Sebastian Giovinco, which as Robles knows very well, isn't the easiest to stop.
