MONTREAL — Ignacio Piatti scored his third goal of the season to help the Montreal Impact beat the Red Bulls 3-0 on Saturday in their home opener at Olympic Stadium.
Dominic Oduro opened the scoring for Montreal (2-0-0) in the 58th minute. Piatti scored in the 71st, and Anthony Jackson-Hamel added a goal in stoppage time.
The Red Bulls (0-2-0) were beaten by Montreal for the first time since March 23, 2013.
The Impact beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-2 in their season opener last week, with Piatti scoring twice for Montreal.
