Despite recent rumors that Orlando City were “finalizing” a deal for Sacha Kljestan, it appears that the Red Bulls and Lions have hit a snag. According to MLS Transfers, the Red Bulls want the deal to include 19-year-old forward/winger Pierre da Silva. Per the source, Orlando are not ready to part with their rising star.
Silva has spent the better part of the last two years with Orlando City B in the USL, during which he has appeared in more than half of the team’s games and contributed five goals. However, Orlando City head coach Jason Kreis has not seen fit to give him MLS minutes, as he made just one sub in the final moments of a game against Philadelphia this past season.
