On paper this seemed like an obvious loss for the Red Bulls in one form or another: Playing as the away team vs the New England Revolution - a team they've only beaten once at Gillette Stadium since 2003; a second-string defense with starting defenders Kemar Lawrence, Aurelien Collin and Michael Murillo all unavailable; the Red Bulls' notorious road struggles and New England's more notorious homefield advantage.
It looks like the soccer gods forgot to tell Gonzalo Veron that the Red Bulls weren't supposed to win this one.
Despite erasing a one-goal deficit twice during the game, the Revs still looked like the better team for most of the game.
