New York Red Bulls waive Chris Thorsheim

On March 15th, 2016, the New York Red Bulls have waived Homegrown player Chris Thorsheim. Thorsheim joined New York on a Homegrown contract in December after spending four years at Bucknell University, and is the latest roster casualty as New York continues to cut players from their Homegrown signing spree in order to make room on the roster for incoming signings.

Thorsheim served as a creative, two-way midfielder for Bucknell during his time there. His play in his first three years with the Bison earned him a place on the MAAC Hermann Trophy's preseason watch list for his senior year, with Thorsheim ending his last year in college with 8 goals and 6 assists over 18 games.
