New York Red Bulls U-23 Announce 2016 Roster Ahead of U.S. Open Cup Match

HARRISON, N.J. (May 10, 2016) – New York Red Bulls U-23 has released its 25-player roster ahead of its first match of 2016, the club announced today.

The Red Bulls U-23s face New York Pancyprian Freedoms on the road in the First Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at Belson Stadium in Jamaica, Queens, on Wednesday, May 11 at 7:30 p.m.

In 2015, New York finished with a 9-3-2 record and reached the PDL Championship Final, finishing as the runner-up. The team is led by head coach Rob Elliott.

The Red Bulls U-23 roster consists of 12 Red Bulls academy products, including Arun Basuljevic, Marcello Borges, Steven Echavarria, Christopher Flores, Christopher Lema, Ethan Lochner, Andrew Lombard, Henry Martin, Kevin Politz, Juan Sanchez, Alexander Tejera and Kyle Zajec.
