New York Red Bulls Place Justin Bilyeu on Waivers

HARRISON, N.J. (June 28, 2017) – The New York Red Bulls have placed defender Justin Bilyeu on waivers, the club announced today.

“We thank Justin for his service to the club, and wish him well in his future endeavors,” said Red Bulls Sporting Director Denis Hamlett.

Bilyeu, a native of St. Louis, Mo., was drafted in the first round of the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. He appeared in four MLS matches for the club, as well as 2016 U.S. Open Cup and CONCACAF Champions League games. The defender also saw time with NYRB II, the club’s USL affiliate.
