HARRISON, N.J. (May 26, 2016) – New York Red Bulls defender Kemar Lawrence, forward Anatole Abang, and Homegrown midfielder Derrick Etienne, Jr., departed this week to join their respective national teams ahead of FIFA competitions. Lawrence joins Jamaica, and Etienne Jr. will be with Haiti for Copa America Centenario, and Abang meets up with Cameroon for a match against France.
Lawrence, an established part of the Reggae Boyz lineup, played in last Summer’s Copa America and Gold Cup tournaments. Lawrence has appeared in 11 games this season for the Red Bulls. Jamaica’s Copa scheduled kicks off with a match against Venezuela on June 5.
