Savor it: a New York Red Bulls team is top of its league heading into the final stretch of the regular season. It's the II team, and the lead probably won't last too long (Louisville City FC plays on Friday, August 5, against the not-so-great Pittsburgh Riverhounds), but what has seemed to be a season-long quest to top the USL Eastern Conference standings (and the league overall) is fulfilled. For now.
