New York Red Bulls II close in on USL regular season title with 2-0 win over Bethlehem Steel

The New York Red Bulls II are closing out the 2016 USL regular season in some style. The team's 2-0 win over Bethlehem Steel on September 4 extended its current winning streak to six games, and three consecutive shutouts. And the three points claimed in Pennsylvania edged the II team closer to what seems an inevitable USL regular season title.

The Red Bulls reserves now have 59 points from league play, with a possible maximum of 71 if they win all their remaining games. The only team that can catch them in either Conference is Louisville City (53 points from 27 games; max points total of 62).
