The New York Red Bulls continued their strong home form with a 2-1 victory over the Chicago Fire at the Red Bull Arena this past Saturday. Bradley Wright-Phillips put the hosts in front with a short-range finish before Kamer Lawrence restored New York’s lead with a neat finish after Nemanja Nikolic equalized for his side.
The victory sees the Red Bulls jump to second in the Eastern Conference standings with 16 points, although local rivals New York City FC could overtake them on goal difference with a victory in their game in hand.
