For the second straight match, the New York Red Bulls defeated cross-town rival New York City FC, 4-0, securing a spot in the next round of the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
After losing 2-1 to New England last Saturday, the Red Bulls came out attacking from the opening kick, scoring a goal two minutes into the match, by Vincent Bezecourt, which was his first career first-team goal. The team continued to create scoring opportunities and notched three unanswered goals after the opening score.
Daniel Royer had a huge night and scored twice in a span of two minutes.
