The New York Red Bulls have announced an addition to their scouting department: Carlo Acquista is leaving Adelphi University’s men’s soccer program to join RBNY as Assistant Scout, per an official release from the club.
Acquista has been head coach of Adelphi’s men’s soccer team for 11 seasons. Among his new colleagues at RBNY is assistant coach Chris Armas, formerly head coach of Adelphi’s women’s soccer team. Adelphi makes and Metro takes, it would seem.
The news of Acquista’s appointment was doubly positive for RBNY as it came with an unexpected revelation: the Red Bulls’ former Head of Scouting, Benjamin Ehresmann, is not the Red Bulls’ former Head of Scouting at all - he’s still at RBNY:
